Survey Privacy Statement
Information about you: How we use it and with whom we share it
The Who’s Coding project only uses the personal data you have provided in order to carry out a survey to investigate the experiences of and outcomes for adults who have taken a private digital skills course in the UK. To do so, we are using Qualtrics as our survey platform.
We are using information about you because you have given us your consent. The information you provide will be used by the Who’s Coding research team to:
Conduct academic research on student experiences and outcomes within UK digital skills courses and programmes.
Publish the results of this research in publications, both print and online.
Create a completely anonymized open access dataset to share with other researchers.
Send you a reminder email to complete any follow-up surveys if you have provided us with an email for that purpose.
Contact you to be interviewed if you have provided us with an email for that purpose.
Contact you if you have entered the prize draw for a £50 gift card and are a winner.
The information we hold on you will be anonymized and will not be connected to your identity. If you have provided us with a name and email address, it will be stored separately from the rest of your survey responses and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Who’s Coding research team. Your personal data, including any name and email you have provided, will be visible to relevant researchers working on the Who’s Coding project. Your anonymized survey answers will be shared in an open-access dataset.
We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes.
You can ask for your data to be removed from the research project within 14 days of taking part in a survey by emailing contact@whoscoding.com and providing the personal identifier that you created when you took the survey.
Any emails provided for the purpose of the prize draw will be deleted once the prize draw is complete. Any names/emails provided by participants willing to be interviewed in connection with their survey answers will be deleted upon the conclusion of the research project. The completely anonymized dataset will be securely archived for the purposes of future academic research.
